What you need to know
Shortly afterstore listings of an Alan Wake remasterbegan to circulate, Remedy Entertainment creative director Sam Lake shared some exciting news for fans: Alan Wake Remastered is set to launch later this year in the fall. Alan Wake is widely considered one of Remedy Entertainment’s best games, as well as being one of thebest Xbox gamesavailable.
“Alan Wake Remastered is the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago. We did not want to change that. But the visuals all around, including the character model of Alan Wake himself and the cinematics, have been updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades,” Lake explains on Alan Wake fan siteThe Sudden Stop.
Hopefully we’ll learn more about what exactly these new upgrades for Alan Wake Remastered entail soon, especially on the higher-end platforms. There’s no exact release date but the prior store listings indicated that Alan Wake Remastered is launching on Oct. 5, so we should get an update on the timing for launch relatively soon.
While the original version of Alan Wake was exclusive to the Xbox 360 before later being ported to PC, Alan Wake Remastered is launching acrossXbox Series X,Xbox Series S, Xbox One,PS5, PS4 and PC via the Epic Games Store.
