Very little has been revealed about the upcoming Gollum video game since it wasofficially announced back at the beginning of 2020but we now have our first look at some gameplay from the Lord of the Rings title and a sense of the overall game design and aesthetic due to a new teaser trailer that dropped earlier today as part of the Future Games Show.

Check it out below.

The teaser is definitely a short one and doesn’t provide much in the way of plot information or any particular mechanics but it is interesting nonetheless given how secretive this game has been up until now.

No release date has been set for Gollum though it is confirmed to be coming to Windows PC and Microsoft’s current generation of Xbox consoles, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, whenever it launches. It’s also expected to come to Sony’s PS5 console.

Launching on PC and new gen consoles is understandably going to raise expectations in regards to how to the game looks and people already seem to be quite divided on the title in the comments section ofthis video on YouTubewith many criticising the character model and visuals and one user even describing the game as looking unfinished and lacking funding.
