The zombie co-op shooter Back 4 Blood seems like it’s releasing onXbox Game Passfrom launch day.
Eagle-eyedReddit user /u/JohnTLHspotted the news in the YouTube description for the upcoming Back 4 Blood PvP video reveal, currently set for 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT on Sunday 13th June, the same time as the Warner Bros. Back 4 Blood broadcast.
“Back 4 Blood will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch via Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, as well as Windows 10 PC,” the description allegedly read. TheYouTube video in questionwas apparently live for most of yesterday, before being set to private, adding legitimacy to the claim.
Microsoft has been adamant about their support for Xbox Game Pass, and in this year alone we saw big third-party releases likeOutridersand MLB: The Show 21 arrive on the service at launch. If Back 4 Blood is coming to Xbox Game Pass from launch, we can assume that we’ll get an official reveal at the Xbox and Bethesda conference atE3 2021.
Back 4 Blood is an upcoming co-op zombie killing game from Turtle Rock Studios, developed with talent behind Left 4 Dead and Evolve. In ourimpressions of the closed alpha testin December, we thought that the game was shaping up to be the Left 4 Dead sequel fans have been waiting over a decade for, and could be one of the futurebest co-op games on the Xbox.
You won’t have to wait long before you get to try it yourselves. Anopen betais planned for August 12, ahead of the game’s release, with early access for preorders. Back 4 Blood will arrive on Xbox One,Xbox Series XandXbox Series S, PS4, PS5, and PC on October 12.
Left 4 Dead with a roguelike spin
We have high hopes for Back 4 Blood. It might be the Left 4 Dead successor we’ve been dreaming of.
