In a newdeveloper blog post, Bungie has announced that the Vault of Glass raid from the first Destiny will arrive in Destiny 2 during Season 14. Season 14 is expected to begin on May 12, which is the day after the end of the current season, Season of the Chosen.

Like all new raids, the launch of Vault of Glass will be accompanied by a World’s First race and 24-hour long Contest Mode that limits the Power Level of fireteams attempting to complete the raid. However, this World’s First race will be a bit different. Since the mechanics of the raids are already known, Bungie is adding in some additional challenges that players have to complete in the raid in order to achieve the title of World’s First. The first team to win the race will obtain a unique title belt, while players who complete these challenges after the race will be able to earn other types of real-world loot.

Additionally, Bungie also stated that further down the line, it hopes to introduce a Master version of the raid that will reward players with pieces of Adept loot, which are essentially enhanced versions of regular gear. The “Master” title means that the raid will have enemies with a much higher Power Level and will also likely have Champion enemies, so players can expect a good challenge. Bungie hopes to introduce Master versions ofallnew raids moving forward, not just the Vault of Glass.
