TheJanuary Patch Tuesdayupdatesare here adding improvedsecurityfeatures to all the supported Windows operating systems.

As always,Adoberolled out their ownsecurityupdatesfor a series of products affected by varioussecurityvulnerabilities.

Theupdatestarget five criticalsecurityissues that could enablearbitrary code execution on Illustratorfollowing memory corruption attacks. The affected versions are Illustrator CC 2019 versions 24.0 and earlier running on Windows computers.

Theupdatesare rated 3 on the company’s severity and priority rating system. This means the product has not been a target for hackers. This is reassuring for users, but the best approach is to install the update for peace of mind.

To benefit from the latestsecuritypatches,Adoberecommends that users install the newest software version via the Creative Cloud desktop app. Simplylaunch your Adobe product, go to Help and search forupdates.

Adobe Experience Manager, the company’s content management solution for building websites also received importantsecurityupdatesthis month (CVE-2019-16466 and CVE-2019-16467). These flaws could enable hackers to send malware code to users via specially crafted web apps.
