Microsoft’s holiday commercialis back again, and, going with the times, is a little bit different. This year, the ad tells the story of Rufus the dog, as he dreams big and finds his own joys and adventures in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, calls his buddies in Teams, and a lot more.
Titled “Find Your Joy (A Dog’s Dream)” the roughly 1 minute and 30 second long ad is very adorable, to say the least, and puts some of Microsoft’s top products from 2020 front and center. The ad begins with a (very sad) Rufus the dog wanting to play with his owners. However, they are too busy with things like playing Halo, chatting in Microsoft Teams, playing Minecraft, and even flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. In these scenes, we get a peek at Microsoft devices like a Surface Laptop 3, the Xbox Series S controller, a Surface Pro 7, Surface Headphones, and even Surface Studio 2.
To end, the ad takes a very funny turn. Rufus ends up calling on his fellow dog friends, and they embark on their own Microsoft-themed adventure. We see Rufus gathering up other dogs and they all begin to dream of flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, play as dogs in Minecraft, and even chat argue in Teams (Rufus has to hit the mute button!) Even Halo and Windows 10 get a mention, as well as the classic Windows XP Wallpaper, with a shot of the dogs in the bliss fields.
What do you think of the holiday commercial? Do you think it’s better than last year’s? Remember to find your joy this holiday, and do let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
