The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 update has rolled out to Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles, Windows 10 PCs, and all other supported platforms and matchmaking has now begun.

This new season of content follows through withthe recent Fortnite UFO teasersand revolves around a full on alien invasion on Fortnite’s Battle Royale island. The new Battle Pass features a variety of wacky and cool characters but of note is the addition of Rick (from the popular Rick and Morty cartoon series) and Superman (available in both his traditional red and blue outfit and the fan-favorite black style).

Season 7 sees the return of Battle Stars, a feature from Chapter 1 that was eventually phased out. In Chapter 2 Season 7, they can be earned by levelling up and can then be redeemed for Battle Pass rewards. This allows for a more personalized experience for Fortnite players as they’ll now be able to unlock rewards out of order as opposed to a level-by-level structure seen in recent seasons.

Players will have a while to unlock everything with Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 currently set to run until September 12th.
