Tango Gameworks announced the news on Tuesday, explaining that the focus is on protecting the health of the development team. Ghostwire: Tokyo was previously slated to arrive sometime later in 2021.
“Our new release window will give us time to bring the world of Ghostwire to life as we’ve always envisioned it,” the announcement reads. There is no exact release date at this time.

Ghostwire: Tokyo, like Arkane Lyon’sDeathloop, is a timedPS5console exclusive and despite Microsoft purchasing ZeniMax Media, these preexisting deals are being honored and seen through. Ghostwire: Tokyo is expected to be available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S a year after its initial launch on PS5. Naturally, it’ll also launch on Xbox Game Pass at the same time.
