Microsoft told the Redditor that IE mode onChromium-Edge is a Windows specific feature. That means it won’t be available on macOS.

Microsoft is getting ready to revamp Edge
Microsoft is currently testing the new Edgebrowserand a stable release is expected to be available later this year.
The company does not want to go for a sudden release. Indeed, Microsoft needs to work on polishing the key features and then fix the issues reported by Windows Insiders.
The big M recently announced that it is bringing new autoplay media settings inChromiumEdge. This will allow users toblock the video advertisementsthey see on different webpages.
Well, we need to wait for a few more months until the official Edge version is rolled out. Meanwhile, you can try the Preview builds.
