1. Wi-Fi doesn’t have a valid IP configuration

One of the usersreportedthat his PC is having problems while connecting to Wi-Fi. The bug started appearing after the installation ofWindows updatesKB4493464and KB4493478 (Windows 10Version 1803).

You can try one of the following workarounds to resolve the issue.

Click Start, and type “cmd”.– Right-click Command Prompt and run it as administrator.– Copy and paste the below one line at a time, pressing enter each time:netsh winsock reset – and press Enter.netsh int ip reset – and press Enter.ipconfig/release – and press Enter.ipconfig/renew – and press Enter.ipconfig/flushdns – and press Enter.You could also try resetting your DNS service.

Alternatively, if the problem is not resolved, you can uninstall and block the problematicupdates.

2. Application startup bugs

Microsoft acknowledged another bug that affects Internet Explorer. Microsoft states that somecorresponding applications for Internet Explorer’s trusted and local sites may not be started by Custom URI Schemes for Application Protocol handlers.

Microsoft is working to resolve the issue but Microsoft has suggested a temporary fix to the problem.

Enable Protected Mode in Internet Explorer for local intranet and trusted sites.

Keep in mind that a system reboot is required so that the changes can be applied.

As you can see, KB4493464 is a pretty stableupdateand technical issues are a rare thing.
