Microsoft confirmed that non-Insiders running theWindows 10May 2019 Update are also getting cumulativeupdateKB4497936.
Microsoft rolled out KB4497936 to all the devices runningWindows 10version 1903. Thisupdateis now officially available to some non-Windows Insiders as well.
As a quick reminder, the tech giant first released KB4497936 to users enrolled in Windows Insider program. According to the official update description, machines runningWindows 10Insider Preview Build 18362 in the Slow Ring, Fast Ring, and Release Preview Ring are eligible for KB4497936.
Microsoft says theupdatewill be automatically installed on devices running theWindows 10May 2019 Update.
As a matter of fact, many non-Windows Insiders are also runningWindows 10version 1903 (May 2019 Update). Indeed, Microsoft will officially releasingWindows 10May 2019 Update later this month.
However, you can alreadyget the ISO files from MSDN. Many Windows users already downloaded the respective ISO files.
KB4497936 is available to non-Insiders
Many non-insiders confirmed they also receivedKB4497936on their systems. The tech giant confirmed the wider rollout via Tweet and stated that theupdateis available to everyone running the May 2019 Update.
This is expected. Anyone who is on the May 2019 Update will get these servicing releases as we ramp up for general availability.
Microsoft still has fresh memory about themess created by Windows 10 October 2018 Update. Therefore, the company is taking its time to thoroughly testthe upcoming May 2019 Update.
