Microsoft Edge engineers continue to refine its user experience as well as building cohesion with other platforms.
The Edge team published the details of its latestDev channel release 105.0.1329.1to the Insider Dissuasion blog with the following notes:
Improved reliability:
Now it seems the Edge browser will support and recognize changes made in the volume mixer on Windows devices and represent those changes (if muted) in the browser tab which should help users who want more ways to control volume on their devices.
There were other smaller improvements that were pushed through with the Dev channel update that include fixing a crash that occurs when getting the page count in print preview, crashes when adding Favorites folders on iOS, and a couple of others.
The Edge team also highlighted itsefforts on Disk cachingwith that are improving the way the browser “compresses disk caches for improved performance and a reduced disk footprint.”
The end result should be an Edge browser with a lighter footprint and less resource hungry experience that has the potential to bog down an operating system.
The Dev Channel update for Edge was made live yesterday and should be showing up for users in the following days.
