Following the launch ofMicrosoft 365 Government last year, Microsoft is announcing today that Microsoft Teams is now available inall Microsoft 365 Government cloud environments. This should push more US federal, state, local, tribal, or other territorial government entities to make the move to Office 365.

“While Teams has been available in the Government Community Cloud (GCC), today we are announcing the availability of Teams in GCC High and Department of Defense (DoD) environments,” wrote Catherine Boeger, General Manager of Microsoft 365 Commercial GTM. “Teams is built to meet the enhanced security and compliance requirements of government agencies, which can now better deliver against their mission and provide services to citizens and constituents.”

In addition to the expanded Microsoft Teams availability, the Redmond giant also reiterated today that its Outlook app on iOS and Android can now be used by Office 365 U.S. GCC High and DoD customers. That’s because the mobile clientadopted a new architecture earlier this yearthat meets all the security requirements for these organizations.

Lastly, Microsoft is planning to improve its Microsoft 365 Government threat protection and intelligence tools later this year to help security teams address the rising volume of cybersecurity threats. “Soon we will launchnew capabilitiesinOffice 365Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) P2 for GCC that automate investigation and remediation of threats in email—helping you further reduce the burden on your team and time to response,” Boeger explained.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
