Microsoft announced today theacquisition of BlueTalon, a leading provider of Unified Data Access Control for big data and new data initiatives. The company which has its headquarters in Redwood City, California, is now part of Microsoft’s Azure Data Governance group

The company’s data control solution currently works with various data systems such as Hadoop, RDBMS and big data environments

“The IP and talent acquired through BlueTalon brings a unique expertise at the apex of big data, security and governance,” said Rohan Kumar – Corporate Vice President, Azure Data. “This acquisition will enhance our ability to empower enterprises across industries to digitally transform while ensuring right use of data with centralized data governance at scale through Azure,” the exec added.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
