Microsoft announces new Windows Insider Bug Bash for the first time in ages

It’s been quite a while since Microsoft last hosted a Bug Bash for Windows Insiders, but we’re finally seeing the return of a new one. Indeed, now through May 17, you can earn a cool new spring-themed badge for completing certain quests in the Windows 10 Feedback Hub.

Availablehere, there are currently a subset of quests that you need to complete to earn the badge. You can try updated caption settings, use the magnifier, check your storage disk in disk management, make text bigger, or free up disk space. There are a total of 18 quests to complete, and Microsoft says that new ones will continue to be added daily.

Since Windows Insider builds are now smaller in scope, we really do like these quests. It helps to increase engagement and gives Insiders an incentive to download the latest builds and go through the various places in Windows 10 to try out the various features.

Microsoft wasn’t clear which Windows Insider channel this applies to, but we’re assuming you’ll be able to try it out as long as you’re an Insider with the latest build in your respected branch. A lot of the quests aren’t tied to specific features in the various Insider branches.
