Microsoft announces two Ignite digital conferences in September and early 2021

Microsofthas just announcedan update on its upcoming Ignite conference, the company’s annual event for developers and IT professionals. This is quite exceptional, but the software giant says it will be planning Ignite 2020 as two free global virtual events, one in September, and another one to come in early 2021.

According to Microsoft, Ignite has shifted from in-person to two virtual sessions so the company could create “an additional opportunity to connect with our technical communities and share the latest product developments.” The first session will be free 48-hour digital gathering from September 22-24. Registration for this one will be open on September 3rd. The second event will be held early next year, but will not replace Microsoft Build. “We’ll continue to host Microsoft Build as the forum for our developer communities to come together,” said Microsoft.

Microsoft also says it has learned from the global digital events it has already hosted this year. And, by shifting Ignite online, global participants can come together, and get the chance to get skill building with Microsoft Learn and certifications.
