Microsoft announced the Xbox Stereo Headset on Thursday. We don’t have the full list of specifications right now but this headset has a lot in common with the officialXbox Wireless Headset, including the overall design, deep bass and support forDolby Atmosand Windows Sonic. As with other entry-level wired headsets, it’ll connect to your Xbox controller via a 3.5mm headset jack.

Naturally, due to being a wired headset, it can easily be used on PC as well. Preorders are open at Microsoft and should begin showing up at other retailers shortly. The Xbox Stereo Headset is available for $60 and, per the Microsoft Store, it is scheduled to arrive on September 21, 2021.

Earlier this year, Microsoft introduced the Xbox Wireless Headset. In our review, we found it to be a solid $100 option, though it didn’t quite make the list of thebest Xbox wireless headsetsavailable for players right now.

For anyone interested in the complete opposite of an entry-level model, there’s the official $500Bang & Olufson Xbox headset, which is designed with premium materials to deliver the best (and most expensive) headset possible.

If you want it wired

The Xbox Stereo Headset packs in a lot of the features and overall design used in the official Xbox Wireless Headset. This wired headset is available for preorder now and should provide an entry-level option for prospective players.
