Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently releasedhis annual reportto shareholders, colleagues, customers, and partners. In the report, Nadella detailed the struggles many have faced throughout this year due to the pandemic, as well as the gains that Microsoft has made in security, modern work, and gaming.

At the top of the report, Nadella summarized how Microsoft delivered $168 billion in revenue, as well as the fact that Microsoft’s operating income grew 32 percent to $70 billion. The Microsoft SEO even detailed that the company is “built for this moment” when it comes to Digital Transformation.

Nadella’s report dives deep into the gains Microsoft made this year in Applications and Infrastructure, Data and AI, Developer Tools, Power Platform, Business Applications, and LinkedIn. For us consumers, though, the most interesting part comes where he discussed security, modern work, and gaming.

Here, the SEO talked about the past year’s updates to Teams, Microsoft Viva, and the introduction ofWindows 11, andWindows 365. In the security section, meanwhile, Nadella went into Microsoft’s intelligence helping intercept 30 billion email threats and 31 billion authentication attacks. Finally, in gaming, Nadella touched on how with Xbox Game Pass, the acquisition ofZeniMax Media, Microsoft is “expanding our opportunity to reach every one of [gamers.]”

We’re just hitting highlights, but Nadella also pointed to examples of how Microsoft’s technologies drove change during the pandemic. That includes GitHub code used in the NASA Mars Mission, mixed reality being used for surgeries in Mt. Sinai Health Systems in New York, and how Team Rubicon used Dynamics 365 to manage the deployment of thousands of volunteers to set up 169 COVID-19 response sites.  You can check out Nadella’s full post on his LinkedIn for more.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
