If you’re testing Microsoft’s new Edge Browser and are in the Dev channel, you’re in for an update. Microsoft hasjust announcedthe release of build 79.0.309.5. While this build doesn’t come with any new features, it appears to be well-balanced with lots of fixes, as Microsoft says it will be the candidate for the next release in the Beta channel.

Some of the biggest tweaks in this new build is a fix for when the browser would crash when some users were logging in to it. There also is an important fix for an issue where typing in the address bar would cause the browser to crash.

Other fixes improve things with the first-run experience, theme settings, Application guard windows, and more. The full list of fixes can be seen below.

Microsoft promises that builds will come back to normal next week, so be on the lookout for new features then. In the meantime, you can catch up on all the Edge Insider newsvia our news hub.
