Back in November 2020,Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev channelsgained the ability to sync browsing history and open tabs across devices. While the new feature was only available to Edge Insiders until now, it appears that some non-Insiders are also starting to see this in the stable version of the browser.
According toThurrott.com, the feature was spotted by aTwitter userthat had Edge Stable with version 87, though we believe that it has yet to reach all users. The change appears to be a part of the controlled rollout strategy, so you may have to wait for a bit to see it on your machine. Unfortunately, we are not seeing it yet on a couple of Windows 10 PCs we checked.

To use this feature, you need to enable these sync options in Edge manually. To do this, head over to the Settings Settings and more ( … ) > Profiles > Sync. On this page, you should use the toggle buttons to enable Open tabs and History sync options and finally restart the browser.
Needless to say, this is definitely a welcomed change, as makes it easier to access browsing history and web pages across different devices. In case you missed it, the company haslisted new Microsoft Edge featuresthat will roll out to users in the stable channel with version 88 later this month. The list includes Vertical tabs, Password Monitor, Sleeping tabs, the ability to reset your sync data, and more. If you’re interested, feel free to check out theMicrosoft Edge Roadmapfor details.
