Version 84 of Microsoft Edgehas finally arrivedin the stable channel. This release is bringing improvements for full-screen mode, the Collections feature, and more. Here’s a look at what you need to know.

We’ll start first with the new stuff. Microsoft says that Edge now provides full-screen mouse support when in full-screen mode, to access the address bar, and other items. In addition, users can now add custom nicknames to saved debit or credit cards. Finally, with Collections, Microsoft has added the ability to leave notes on Collections, and change the background color of notes. You can have a look below for other improvements and new features.

In addition to the new features, Microsoft has also added support for The Storage Access API. Developers will also see some new DevTools updates, including support for customizing keyboard shortcuts to match VS Code and viewing the DevTools in high contrast. Of course, there are new policies too, for a total of 7. We invite you to read moreabout those here, as well as the other new things fordevelopersandsecurity updates.

Today is the first major version 84 release in the Stable Channel, but you can expect subsequent updates to follow later on. Version 83 of Microsoft Edge received a total of 8 patches after its initial release to Stable, so you can expect more of the same here, as Microsoft is always working to improve Edge.
