Microsoft Teams, through the various updates made in the previous month, has seen it get the Front Row feature that is in place toenhance the digital meeting experience. We’ve also seen indications ofintegration between Microsoft Teams and OneDriveto foster a quick way for users to view files.
Well, it seems they are not going to stop anytime soon. Ever since the pandemic hit, students have suffered greatly academically. But Microsoft Teams is on the verge of bridging this gap with adigital reading tool dubbed the Reading Coach,which comes built into Immersive Reader. The tool will essentially help learners get equitable education opportunities education that will help them gain strong literacy skills in these unprecedented times.
Furthermore, the tool will help learners develop fluent reading capabilities. Students can also gain access to personalized exercises from the tool that will help them brush up on their weak points as far as literacy skills are involved. The new feature will further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the current portfolio of tools such as Reading Progress and Immersive Reader, thus, making the learning curve seamless.
Reading Coach helps students identify their shortcomings, especially when it comes to the pronunciation of words. It then creates tailor-made assignments that provide the students with the opportunity to improve on these areas.
The main goal of this feature as highlighted in the report is to provide educators with an easier time during the learning process, in that, they get to focus on developing the students both emotionally and academically.
The Reading Process will also get an update to detect prosody, it essentially aids in the detection of patterns when expressing oneself as well as intonation. This new feature is geared towards helping students develop a deeper understanding of what they are reading. “The new updates will also include support for over 100 languages and more actionable insights.”
