The latest version of the Microsoft Launcher is dropping its beta tag today. With the new version 6, Android users will enjoy a new Landscape mode and dark theme, personalized news feed updates, customizable App Icons, a new Bing wallpaper every day, and several performance improvements.
Here are the main highlights the Windows Insider teammentionedtoday:
The new version will roll out gradually to Android phones running version 7.0 or higher, but some features such as System dark theme are only supported on Android 8.0 or newer. Microsoft also noted that native Android 10 navigation gestures may not work for all phone manufacturers and models.
If you’ll be upgrading from previous versions of the Launcher, be aware that Sticky notes sync issues may occur after installing the v6. Moreover, you may also need to enable notification badges again after upgrading. You can learn more about how to get started with the Microsoft Launcher onthis FAQ.
