Microsoft recently unveiled the lateststatisticsfor Q3 2019. The Redmond giant saw a huge boost in its revenue coming fromSurface devices.

The lateststatisticsreleased by Microsoft show an increase of around 21% in Surface sales . Microsoft surprisingly earned an amount of $1.329 billion in the third quarter of the current year.

The company saw a14 percent ($30.6 billion) boost in its overall revenue compared to the previous year.Cloud revenue saw an impressive improvement of 41% and hit the $9.6 billion mark. However, the revenue ofWindowsOEM increased by around 9%.

These results clearly show that more and more people are now interested inMicrosoft’s Surfacedevices. Theupcoming version of Surface Prois expected to land by the end of this year.

The much-awaited version will finally come with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. As a quick reminder, the Redmond giant released Surface Studio 2 andSurface Go laptopslast year.

Microsoft shifts its focus on cloud services

Microsoft also recently announced the addition of the Surface Hub 2S to the family. As far as the specifications are concerned, this version features a50-inch screen.

In fact,It is much lighter compared to the previous models. Furthermore, Surface Hub 2S comes with equipped with aUHD 620 graphics chipset, 8GB RAM, Core i5 Intel processor and 128 GB hard disk.

It seems like Microsoft is now focusing on Surface devices,cloud servicesand software. The plan worked for the company in terms of quarterly revenue.

The tech giant is also rolling out firmware updates forSurface Pro 5and 6. These updates will bring a bundle of enhancements and fixes for both models.
