Microsoft is launching a new feature that will enable users to have a group chat in Teams with external partners. TheMicrosoft 365 Roadmaplisting indicates that the feature is expected to be rolled out to all users later this month.
Microsoft Teams already supports calling or chatting with people in other organizations and inviting them to meetings. With support for group chats, users will be able to create a group chat with up to 250 participants across different organizations. However, this update will require IT Admins toenable the external access policyin their tenant. It’s a long-awaited feature that should eliminate the need to constantly set up formal meetings for collaborating with external users on projects.
The news comes shortly after Microsoftdelayed the rollout of Shared Channels in Teamsto November this year. The software gaint recently revealed that Microsoft Teams will addsupport for apps in external meetings and chatsin July. It will allow host users to install, update and delete apps while interacting with external partners via chats or meetings.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
