Microsoft Mechanics released a new video this week showing you everything you wanted to know about Surface Book 3, and it shows you that this is one powerful machine.Available for preorder now, the new Surface Book 3 is designed to give users the most power in any Surface device along with the flexibility and versatility that comes along with the Book 3’s unique detachable design.

The video wants you to know that this machine is for professionals. It’s fast, powerful and in its most powerful configurations can support complex 3D designs, produce graphical content with real-time ray tracing and advanced shading, and even run GPU-intensive machine learning and AI workloads locally on the device. Surface Book 3 has options for discreet GPUs with Nvidia GeForce or more powerful Nvidia Quadro GPUs for businesses that require specific certifications for professional-grade apps.

Like most laptops being released today, the new Surface Book 3 uses Intel’s newest 10th generation Core i5 or Core i7 processors along with options to choose up to a whopping 32 gigabytes of RAM. Of course, processors and RAM aren’t the only hardware changes as the Surface Book 3. The Book 3 now includes a new USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port and an updated Surface port that supports 120-watt power delivery. With the new Surface port, users can now connect 2x4K displays using the new Surface Dock.  You also get faster SSD drives, a new TPM 2.0 security chip for enterprise security,  as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.

Whether you choose the 13-inch or 15-inch model, both sizes include the Surface Book’s familiar hinge and detachable display that now uses an improved detachable mechanism that is up to 2 times faster compared to previous models. The video does point out that the detachable tablet also includes Intel’s Iris Plus graphics and houses a color-calibrated 3000 by 2000 pixel display for the 13-inch model and 3240 by 2160 pixel resolution for the 15-inch model.

The new Surface Book 3 wasn’t the only new Surface device unveiled this week. Be sure to check out our post about theSurface Go 2and let us know if you consider either one of these devices.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
