Minecraftis the game that never stops moving, as Mojang Studios constantly seeks to one-up itself with new content and patch updates for their gargantuan creative survival game. Today, Mojang Studiosofficially releases the 1.17.1 patch update for Minecraft: Java Edition, which includes a decent number of bug fixes and general improvements for therecently released 1.17 Caves and Cliffs Update Part One.
This is all part of Mojang’s continued efforts to improve the first half of theCaves and Cliffs Update, with1.18 Part Two expected later this year.
The 1.17.1 patch update for Minecraft: Java Edition isn’t going to add any significant new features to the game, but it does include plenty of bug fixes and a number of changes related to axolotl, goats, hostile mobs, powder snow, and more. Hopefully, this update sets the stage for Minecraft’s next big phase: 1.18 Caves and Cliffs Update Part Two. Mojang Studios should begin fervent testing on that update at some point in the next few weeks or months.
