WhileResident Evil Villagetook the series' classic single-player horror to a Gothic European setting, it was meant to be accompanied with a multiplayer title called Resident Evil Re:Verse. After an initial delay to sometime in the summer, fans will be waiting even longer to dive in on this player-vs-player experience, as Capcom announced on Thursday that Resident Evil Re:Verse is delayed to 2022.
The previously announced July 2021 launch of Resident Evil Re:Verse is being moved to 2022 so that the team can continue working to deliver a smooth gameplay experience. Capcom recommends that players go ahead and redeem their codes for Resident Evil Re:Verse to ensure they will have access at the planned launch next year. Resident Evil Re:Verse is a six-player deathmatch spin on the series, with players facing off as iconic characters like Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine.
Resident Evil Village has sold over 4.5 million copies so far, with its critical and commercial success seeing the announcement ofupcoming DLCbeing developed, though there aren’t any details for what the DLC will entail so far. Whatever it is, it’s likely to help cement the game’s place as one of the best horror games available
