FromSoftware’s upcoming action RPGElden Ringmade a surprise appearance ahead ofE3 2021during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest show in the form of a brand new trailer that showcased some of Elden Ring’s gameplay as well as elements of the game’s story and world. You can watch the trailer below:
As many fans have come to expect based on comments made by FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki, the gameplay of Elden Ring appears to be very similar to that of the Dark Souls series, complete with an emphasis on dodging and melee combat (magic is an available option, too). In addition to the presence of FromSoftware’s bread-and-butter, there are also brand new mechanics such as mounted horse combat and exploration.
Something else that the trailer revealed was Elden Ring’s release date, which is January 21, 2022. This is exciting, as up until now, we’ve had no information about when to expect the game’s arrival.
Are you excited for Elden Ring to arrive onXbox Series X,Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows 10 (andWindows 11) PCs? Let me know. It may end up being one of the best Xbox One role-playing games ever, so we’re definitely keeping a close eye on it. Notably, it’s available for preorder now for $60, too.
