Microsoft has released today new Insider updates for Windows 10 versions 20H2 and 21H1. Windows Insiders in the Release Preview channel can now install the20H2 build 19042.906, while Insiders in the Beta channel can download the21H1 build 19043.906. Both patches will appear as “KB5000842” patch in Windows Update, and you can check out the list of bug fixes and improvements below:

Windows 10 version 21H1 is the next version of Windows 10 that is currently being tested with Insiders in the Beta channel, but Microsoft also made itavailable for commercial pre-release validation last week. 21H1 is expected to become generally available later this spring, and it’s a minor update that will only bring multi-camera support for Windows Hello as well as performance improvements for Windows Defender Application Guard.

In case you missed it, Microsoft also released a new Windows 10 preview build for the Dev Channel yesterday withsome cool-looking new File Explorer icons. Microsoft is reportedly planning a big design update for Windows 10 version 21H2 coming in the second half of 2021, and we hope to see even more UI changes pop up in future builds.
