Microsoft has released a new update for its PowerToys suite of tools, bringing version 0.37 to all users. This release includes a handful of fixes and a few improvements to features such as PowerToys Run and changes to keyboard shortcuts in FancyZones, and more.
In addition to this, the company has removed the legacy Settings app and converted the Keyboard Manager tool into a separate executable process. PowerRename now has some capitalization options, too.
One important feature that still isn’t included in this release is the much-awaited Video Conferencing Mute utility, which is stillavailable in the experimental builds. The team noted that it needs more work before it can be released to the general public. “Our goals for v0.37 release cycle Video Conference Mute work so we can bring it into the stable branch,” said Clint Rutkas, Program manager lead on PowerToys.
Here’s the full list of improvements and fixes in PowerToys version 0.37:
It is worth noting that PowerToys version 0.35 is available for users running Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903) or higher. This means that users on older versions of Windows will not be able to install the latest update. However, most users will probably already be running a newer version of the OS, so it shouldn’t make a difference. As always, those who are interested in installing the tool can head to the officialGitHub pageto download it.
