Recent Office 365 updates cause Outlook to freeze?

Is Outlook working fine for you? If the answer is positive, you’re lucky. Because apparently, it’s not working as intended for everyone. And what’s worse, we don’t know what exactly is the cause of this problem.

One user recentlyreportedon Reddit, that he’s unable to useOutlookfor some time now, because it constantly freezes and crashes. Here’s what he said:

“Since Early September my environment has been having freeze ups and not responding to the simplest of tasks in Outlook 2013/2016. All of these pc’s are running windows 10. I can’t locate any recent updates of win 10 or office that would be causing them. I have verified that my Office updates are up to date. Removing the profile and account and creating a new one has been hit and miss on success. Anyone else seeing this or know of this? Anyone know a solution? I’ve spent days researching this. Thanks for reading !!!”

As you can see, all his Office apps are up to date. So, it’s possible that some of the previous updates actually caused this issue. In fact, it’s very likely that this issue was caused by some of the previous Office 365 updates. Let’s face it, updates for Windows and its related products are prone to causing issues.

Since thePatch Tuesdaywas yesterday, there’s a chance Microsoft actually released the fix for this problem. However, the user who reported it hasn’t said anything yet, so we can’t confirm anything for now.
