What you need to know
Who is surprised to see it’s May already? Microsoft just revealed which games would be coming to theXbox Game Passroster in May 2021, and there are several heavy hittersbeing added this month. One of the biggest is Red Dead Online, though Final Fantasy X and X-2 are classics. The addition of Psychonauts is likely to introduce the game to new players before its long-in-development-hell sequel,Psychonauts 2, releases on Xbox sometime later this year.
Xbox is building on its recent Game Pass successes, including the additions of Outriders and MLB The Show 21 at launch. The additions for the latter half of April weren’t quite as exciting, except for the reintroduction of Grand Theft Auto V. The list of offerings forXbox Cloud Gamingcontinues to expand, while gamers onXbox Series X,Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC are all getting access to this slate of games. In case that wasn’t enough, Microsoft also revealed that Game Pass Ultimate subscribers would now have access to4 months of Spotify Premiumfor free.
