Skype is still an app many use for group audio and video calls, and Microsoft announced this week that it will soondouble the maximum number of people in group callsfrom 25 to 50 (viaNeowin). The new limit is already live in the version 8.41.76.62 of the app, which was released for Skype Insiders on all platforms yesterday.
“When you start a call in these large groups, it will send a notification instead of ringing all the members, to not interrupt those who can’t join,” the company explained, adding that these notifications will also be sent for all group video calls. Being able to bring up to 50 people together in an audio or video call is great, but keep in mind that Skype can currently show 10 people onscreen at a time as of today.
With the maximum number of callers bumped to 50, Skype is catching up with Facebook Messenger whichhad this feature on iOS, Android and web since 2016. Again, this is restricted to Skype Insiders for now, but this new Skype update to roll out soon on all platforms.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
