The popular Star Wars Battlefront II video game received a rather significant update today onXbox Oneand other platforms that added a plethora of new content to unlock.

The update, aptly named the Where Are Those Droidekas? Update, finally adds the fan-favorite rolling droids who were made famous by The Phantom Menace and its two subsequent sequels. The Droideka have been added as playable Enforcers on Prequel Era maps in the game and are able to walk or roll and are equipped with their own force fields, just like in the films.

This update also adds the TX-130 vehicle as a counter to the Droideka on the Light Side and unlocks Naboo as a playable map in the recently added Capital Supremacy multiplayer mode. Like the other maps that have been added to this mode, Naboo also looks different than its usual appearance with new objectives, visual changes to the environment, and new objects added for player cover and inconvenience.

A variety of new skins have also been added to Star Wars Battlefront II. Most notable is the new Clone Wars appearance for Anakin Skywalker but the addition of the 212th Recon Division and 41st Scout Battalion appearances for Clone Troopers should also please many fans of the franchise.

Here’s their official descriptions:

The 212th Recon Division was outfitted with the angular Phase I ARF (Advanced Recon Force) armor and desert camo during the Second Battle of Geonosis when the Republic invaded the retaken world. Obi-Wan Kenobi (along with Anakin Skywalker and other Jedi Knights) led the siege with his loyal troops through dunes, canyons, and caverns of the Separatist-controlled planet.

The 41st Scout Battalion was under the direction of Jedi Grand Master Yoda. The 41st Scout Trooper’s armor, though featuring less plastoid plating compared to the traditional clone armor, allowed for greater mobility and flexibility in jungle-rainforest environments. The sunshield, wider visor, and overall shape of the helmet also help with vision when traversing or fighting in rainy foliage and wet regions.

The 41st Scout Battalion appearances will be classed as Epic and will be available for 40,000 credits or 1,000 crystals. The 212th Recon Division are rare and will cost 20,000 credits or 500 crystals.

A large number of fixes and balancing changes have also been made with this update. You can read them in detailhere.

As with all Star Wars Battlefront II updates, this one is also completely free for all owners of the game and is now available to download on allXbox One consolesin all regions.

Despite now being over a year and a half old, Star Wars Battlefront II is doing surprisingly well on all platforms with player numbers apparently being near those at the games launch according to recent comments made by its community manager.

Even more content updates are expected throughout 2019 with new game modes and the new planet, Felucia, already being confirmed.
