What you need to know
Halodeveloper 343 Industries has announced in ablog postthat if things go according to plan, the next test flight for Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) will go live on February 18, 2021. The biggest highlight of the flight is that it will include a new map for Halo 3 that was originally in Halo Online (pictured below). It looks like the map will be set on some sort of UNSC outpost high up in the air amidst several icy glaciers.
Aside from the new map, the flight will also include testing for the long-awaited custom games browser, Season 6 content for the MCC, FOV slider support for Xbox One consoles, an unlocked FOV slider forXbox Series XandXbox Series Sconsoles set to 120Hz, double keybindings, mouse and keyboard support on console, and new options for both audio and weapon viewmodel settings.
To participate in the flight, players will need to sign up for the Halo Insider Program. Doing so is free and easy, and it will also be part ofhow to play the Halo Infinite betawhen it comes out. Therefore, you should definitely sign up to be a Halo Insider. You should also check out the MCC if you haven’t already, as it offers all of the pre-Xbox One Halo shooters in a single bundle. It’s easily one of thebest Xbox One shootersout there right now, and it’s also an excellent game to play while waiting forHalo Infiniteto arrive. It also happens to be on sale right now, too, so there has never been a better time to jump in.
Experience the entirety of Halo history
The Master Chief Collection is a collection of every Halo shooter from the pre-Xbox One era, offering incredible value — especially since it’s on sale.
