Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, launched inAustralia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico last night and its official apps arenow availableon iOS, Android, and Microsoft’s family of Xbox One consoles in those regions.
There is no Disney+ app forWindows 10 devicesin the Microsoft Store app store but subscribers can still watch content from the service by logging into the DisneyPlus.com website from any web browser such as Microsoft Edge.
Disney+ works in much the same way as other streaming services, such as Netflix, but differentiates itself from its rivals by offering a large amount of content from the Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic brands. Almost all of the seasons of The Simpsons are also viewable on Disney+ due to Disney’s recent purchase of 20th Century Fox movies and TV series.
The available content on Disney+ (in Australia anyway) does seem to be slightly different than in the USA though most of the major products, such as the Star Wars and Marvel movies, are still present. One example of differing content is the critically acclaimed Marvel TV series, Runaways, whose first season is available on Disney+ in the USA but doesn’t even show up in search results Down Under.
Disney+ is relatively cheap and costs just AU$8.99 a month or AU$89.99 a year for full access. Thestreaming service launched in the USA, Canada, and Netherlands last week. The next rollout of Disney+ is expected to happen several months from now on March 31st 2020 when it will finally be made available in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Ireland.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
