Microsoft’s Surface hardware events typically are reserved for influencers, journalists, and those with very close ties to the tech industry. However, Microsoft executive Yusuf Mehdi has just announced new sweepstakes, where you can enter for a chance to join the best of the best, and experience theupcoming October 2 Microsoft eventin person.

To enter, all you need to do is respond to Mehdi’s above tweet, and say what you love about Surface. Since this is a Twitter sweepstakes, you’ll also need to use the hashtag #MicrosoftEventSweepstakes. Mehdi will choose a winner this Sunday, September 22, at 6 PM PT.

If you’re not from the New York City area, and you happen to win this sweepstakes, Microsoft will pay to send you to the October 2 event. For the winner, that will include a round trip coach airfare from a major airport closest to your home. A 2-night hotel accommodation, transportation to and from the hotel, and a $300 spending allowance during the trip are included as well. You’ll also get an admission to attend an exclusive Microsoft Fan Event, in addition to the product announcement event.

There is some fine print, and you must be 21 years old to enter. You also must be following Mehdi on Twitter, and there’s a limit to one entry per person. Full termsare available here.
