You can read the original report below:
The next feature update targetingWindows 10might be calledWindows 10 April Update. This information originates in Microsoft Edge’s welcome page. In a server-side update to theMicrosoft Edge browser, the company updated the welcome page that is greeting users. There, you can see the changes that have been added to the update that is referred to as theWindows 10 April Update.
Welcome to the Windows 10 April Update
Besides thebaptizingof this latest update, the page is also a clear sign that Microsoft is getting closer to releasing the next feature update to RTM. This will happen pretty soon especially if no blocking issues pop up to meddle with Microsoft’s plans of rolling out the update to users.
The update has already experienced some drawbacks given the fact that the release date was initially set for April 10. Blame it on the bugs that forced Microsoft to push back the update. Now’ it’s scheduled to be released sometime towards the end of this month.
Windows 10 April Update launch date
Taken into account the fact thatWindows 10 build 17134, the current RTM candidate is affected bya series of severe issuesthat break computers, Microsoft clearly needs more time to build a stable OS version. We expect the company to push a newWindows 10build this week in order to fix the bugs affecting build 17134 — which is already available for Slow and Preview Ring Insiders.
In other words, Insiders will also need a few days to test the upcoming build. This means that theWindows 10 April Updatecould land on April, 30.
On the other hand, other userssuggestedthat Microsoft could release the new OS version in May:
Something a friend of mine once joked about might actually become reality and I don’t know how to feel about that.Version 1803 (March 2018)Compiled in April 2018Released in May 2018?
User feedback on the naming game
Back to Microsoft’s new naming scheme, user feedback was pretty funny. For instance, someone asked “No more Spring Fall Creators Update ?” while another user pointed out that it’s best to call the update “Windows 10 Update 1804” for everyone.
Well, regardless of its name we’re pretty anxious to see the update rolling out once and for all.
