After Microsoft released the19H1 build 18356 for Fast Ring Insidersyesterday, the company is now shipping the20H1 build 18855to Insiders on the Skip Ahead ring today. This new build from the 20H1 development branch is another minor update with no new features, though it brings several bug fixes that Fast Ring Insiders received in the19H1 build 18353last week.

Indeed, the build 18855 includes the same Windows Sandbox improvements that previously came with the 19H1 build 18353, including microphone support and various usability improvements. As for known issues, Microsoft still hasn’t fixed the GSODs caused by anti-cheat software, as well as the compatibility issue with Creative X-FI sound cards. You can check the full list of fixes and known issues below:

Known issues

There are not a lot of differences between 19H1 and 20H1 builds for now, and we hope things will get more interesting pretty soon. We’re still wondering what will happen when Microsoft will start releasing 19H2 builds later this Spring, as there will be two separate development branches to follow with probably different new features being tested with Fast Ring and Skip Ahead Insiders. In the meantime, let us know in the comments if you encounter any issues after installing the build 18855 on your PC.
