Key notes

The Windows 10Calendarpreview arrived with the launch ofinsiderbuild 19564back in February.

Then, the app came with multiple feature enhancements including 30+ themes. It also introduced a cleaner, better-organized usercalendarinterface.

In addition, Microsoft announced that it would be adding more features to the beta version of the app each month. Well, a visually and functionally refreshed text editor is one of the latest improvements to come to the Windows 10Calendarpreview.

If a recent tweet by Alumia_Italia is anything to go by, the Redmond-based firm is making good on its promise about theCalendarpreview.

The Twitter user posted an animated GIF demo showcasing how to format text when creating events on the app. Overall, the application looks stunning, especially with the dark theme and the pink tones on the command buttons.

But the app’s text box is the highlight of the GIF demo. Looking at the feature, it gives the impression of a fully-fledged text editor, complete with all the formatting options you may need.

As you can see in the demo below, clicking a button at the bottom left of the text editor pops up common formatting options like bold and font color. You may also use the strategically-located menu to insert your links and add text to display.

It now shouldn’t take you too long to add an event and do all the necessary formatting on the Windows 10 Calendar preview.

Last month, Alumia_Italia posted another GIF demonstrating a newsearch featurethat Microsoft had added to the Calendar app.

If Microsoft wanted to simplify event creation on the application, then the text editor helps a great deal with that.
