It seems like Candy Crush has finally been removed fromWindows 10. Many users from the US reported that theappis no longer available in the Start menu as a result of a clean install.
However, users from Europe and other parts of the world complained that they are still not able toget rid of Candy Crushafter a clean install.
Thenewswas first reported on Reddit by a user stating that:
It’s nice to see them eliminate Candy Crush. I would also like to see them eliminate: Fitbit Coach, Deezer Music, Plex, Photoastic, Netflix and all the other unnecessaryapps. Give me basic Windows apps and nothing more, I’ll put on what I want. Definitely a step in the right direction.
Most of the users were relieved to get rid of theappand took it to Reddit to share their joy with othersWindows 10users.
Friendship with Candy Crush ended, now Minecraft is my best friend.
One user even stated that he is ready to opt for the Windows operating system and leave Mac. Candy Crush was even blamed to be a 3rd party app that has been included in Windows formonetization purposes.
UnlikeSolitaireand Minesweeper that actually taught users how to drag and drop, along with using the right and left mouse click, Candy Crush does not serve any legitimate purpose as such.
Windows 10 users really hate Candy Crush games
Someone who worked in the gaming industry shared his opinion with others thatgameslike Candy Crush have been developed to maximize profits. Theappsare actually aimed at grabbing the attention of gamblers.
Thesegamesare actually addictive for kids as well. Therefore, Microsoft should stop promoting these kinds of 3rd party apps/games, he added.
A few Redditors were of the opinion that it doesn’t even matter whether you have those third-partyappspreinstalled on our PC or not. They said theseappsare not actually installed on our PCs unlesswe actually click on them. They are just the shortcuts of the realapps.
If you performed a clean install recently, do let us know if Candy Crush completely disappeared from your system or not.
