Microsoft has just released theWindows 10 preview build 20236for Insiders in the Dev Channel, which brings a new option for changing the refresh rate of your display right from the Settings app. The new option is available in Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings, the available refresh rates in the dropdown menu will vary depending on your display.

That’s the only new feature in this build, and it’s nice to see another option from the legacy Control Panel being added to the Windows 10 Settings app. This new build also includes a long list of fixes and known issues, including a fixed for a bug causing File Explorer to crash when renaming a file. The Windows Insider team has also fixed another issue causing the same app updates to appear repeatedly in the Microsoft Store app. You can find the full list of changes, bug fixes, and known issues in the build 20236 below:

We’ve fixed an issue where after taking recent builds some Insiders received an unexpected Compatibility Assistant notification that “Microsoft Office is no longer available”.

Known issues

Lastly, the Windows Insider team announced today some Windows Search improvements that are rolling now to all Windows 10 users running the May 2019 Update or higher. This is a server-side change to display some of your recent searches when you open Windows Search Box, and you can learn more inour separate post.
