Key notes

The 6th round of majorfeatureupdates have just hit live, and they are called theJune Patch Tuesday Updates.

As always, Microsoft managed to deliver these updates, bringing new securityfeatures, fixing old bugs, and improving their level of security.

This round of Patch Tuesday updates is also special in the sense that they are the first to contain updates for the newWindows 10 v2004, which has just been launched on 27 May 2020.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the newfeaturesthat each cumulative update brings, along with any known issues, and a direct download link.

That being said, check out the list below, look for your own version of Windows 10, and get the latest cumulative update.

Windows 10, version 2004

This is the latest major feature version of Windows 10 available. This means that it has all the newest features and the highest level of security among all versions of Windows 10.

That being the case, make sure that you try installing it as soon as it becomes available, and if your hardware allows it.

Windows 10, version 1909

Windows10 version 1909 and versions 1903  share a common core operating system and an identical set of system files.

As a result, all major changes that apply to one version will be present in the other.

Windows 10, version 1809

According to Microsoft, the last security update for most editions of Windows 10, version 1809 will be released on November 10. The include the Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations, and IoT Core editions.

Windows 10, version 1803

For those of you keen on having the best that’s security has to offer, remember that Windows 10, version 1803 (the April 2018 Update) Home and Pro editions have reached the end of service.

As such, if you currently own any of these two editions, try to update as soon as possible.

Microsoft is not currently aware of any issues with this update.

Windows 10, version 1709

Like all the previous versions of Windows 10, 1709 has also been updated, bumping the build number to OS Build 16299.1932.

However, remember that this version of Windows 10 has also reached the end of service for Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and IoT Core editions.

As such, try to update as soon as possible if you want to benefit from the latest features and bug fixes.

Note:Windows 10, version 1703 has reached the end of service for all of its available editions.

Thus, if you want to continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends that you update to the latest version of Windows 10.

Windows 10, version 1607

Note:Windows 10, version 1607 has reached the end of service for all of its available editions.

That being the case, if you want to continue receiving security and quality updates, you should update to the latest version of Windows 10.

Patch Tuesday list of CVEs

Of course, Patch Tuesday isn’t just about newfeatures, bug fixes, and performance improvements, as their main focus is actually security updates.
