The third round of major updates for the year 2020 are here, and they are called theMarch Patch Tuesday updates. As it is common with all Patch Tuesday updates, they target all major versions ofWindows 10.
Additionally, this marks the first real round of Patch Tuesday Updates where Windows 7 no longer receives any more updates, as all major fixes have been fixed in prior updates andpatches.

Windows 10version 1909 and versions 1903 share a common coreoperating systemand an identical set of system files. As a result, all major changes that apply to one version will be present in the other.

Windows 10, version 1809 gets an update as well, bumping the build number to 17763.1098. One of the highlights of this build are some security improvements towards security when using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.

Windows 10 version 1803 is also getting an update that takes the build to OS Build 17134.1365. Among the many new improvements, one thing worth mentioning is the update to improve security when using external devices (such as game controllers, printers, and web cameras).

Windows 10, version 1709
Windows 10, version 1709, reached the end of service on April 9, 2019, for devices running Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and IoT Core editions. As such, these devices will longer receive monthly security and quality updates.
If you desire to keep working efficiently and safely, Microsoft recommends that you update to the latest version of Windows 10.

Windows 10, version 1703 has reached end of service for all editions. If you want to continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 10.

Windows 10, version 1607
Windows 10, version 1607, reached the end of service on April 10, 2019, for devices running Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and IoT Core editions. This means that the devices running this version will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates.

This update stands out compared to those of other builds, since they include the most fixes, albeit they are rather minor.

How do I get the latest updates?
The most common and secure method of installing the updates is viaWindows 10‘sWindowsUpdate feature. The latest updates should appear as available there as soon as they are released.
However, if you are only interested in a specific update, then all you need to do is visit theWindows Update Catalog, and enter the specific KB number. The download should start immediately, and you can then manually install the updates that you desire.
