Key notes

Microsoftreleasedyesterday theWindows 10 Insider Preview Build 20231, available only for the users ofWindows Insider.

The purpose is to allow developers to test a bunch of new features, mostly, that might be included in the upcoming OS October update, depending on their impact on performance and system reliability.

The important feature the build is testing is the option to choose uponWindows 10setup how you plan to use your device.

If implemented, this option should pop up at every fresh installation or system reset.

This will allow Windows to prioritize and notify you of certain features and tools, depending on your interests.

Depending on your preferences, Windows willoffer suggestions to help you stay up-to-date about new games, security tools, creativity, or business-related apps.

It’s possible that this will trigger other customized systems settings as well.

For enterprises

In the same line,Microsoftwill make it easier for enterprises to set up automatic file associations.

As a result,IT admins can set which apps will automatically open various file types or links. For example, this makes it easy to setMicrosoftEdge as your organization’s default browser, or always open PDFs in your organization’s preferred app.

Other notable improvements, only for Insiders, for now, include the possibility to view graphics card details, to see a Meet Now feature in the Taskbar, or to move the cursor via gestures on the touch keyboard.

Have you tested any of these features yet? You can share your intake on these changes in the comments section below.
