Microsoftis a very versatile OS when it comes to thefeaturesit brings and the way it can be controlled, but sometimes the most obviousfeaturesseem to have missed the planning phase.
For example, a lot of users arepetitioningthatMicrosoftaddsa force quit option to thetaskbarmenu.
One good example of why this is a good idea is that other operating systems seem to have thisfeature, and it works just fine:
This is exactly what macOS does, and has for years. It’s a good solution imo.
Normally, when you right-click on a program in thetaskbaryou are usually presented with 3 options:
Normally, when a user chooses the Close windowfeature, most applications should shut down entirely. However, there are some that cannot be closed, unless specifically ordered to, such as Skype.
This button users are asking about would combineClose windowfeaturewith opening theTask Managerand completely closing the process from there.
Some have even gone as far as suggesting how thisfeatureshould be accessed:
It should. You should hit X, or Alt f4 or close about 4 times when it’s not responding and it will go white and then it’ll pop up to tell you.
Whichever the case, only time will tell ifMicrosoftwill implement this apparently usefulfeature.
Do you think that such a newfeaturecould be useful? Let us know what your opinions are in the comment section below.
