TheWindows 10 Telegram messaging appreceived a rather notable update today that enabled payments in all types of chats and added support for credit card transactions.

This upgrade to Telegram’s payment system, named Payments 2.0, is notable as it lets anyone accept credit card payments from other users in over 200 countries with no fees being charged by Telegram.

It should be noted, however, that the eight payment providers that Telegram uses, Stripe, Yandex.Money, Sberbank, Tranzzo, Payme, CLICK, LiqPay, and ECOMMPAY, do still charge their usual fees.

In addition to Payments 2.0, this latest app update also added scheduled voice calls. Two new web versions of Telegram were also launched which can now be accessed via any web browser.
