The official Telegram app forWindows 10 devices, Telegram Desktop, updated to Version 5.8 today. This latest update adds the ability to add contacts without using their phone numbers, a new feature for adding other users who are geographically close, and support for location-based chats.

The location-based chat feature is rather impressive as it allows anyone to begin a public chat that can be accessed by anyone else within 100 meters.
