A new update for the Windows 10 Xbox Game Bar is introducing a new Resources widget that let PC gamers see at a glance which apps are using too many resources. This is a handy alternative to Task Manager for closing apps certain apps, and this Resources widget includes a two-columns compact view displaying an “Impact level” for every background apps, as well as a more detailed view displaying CPU, GPU, RAM, and disk usage for each app.
In addition to this new Resources widget, this latest Game Bar Update adds a new GPU usage indicator to the Performance widget, and the Settings section will also tell you if your PC supportsMicrosoft’s new DirectX12 Ultimate API. You can find the full release notes below:
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Bar overlay recently gained athird-party widget storewhich already includes widgets from Razer, Intel, XSplit. It also remains a neat tool for taking game captures, controlling audio devices, and chat with friends on Xbox Live, and it’s great to see Microsoft adding new features at a regular pace.
